Challenge

Churchill China plc had been handling china and table wear with vacuum, but for some time had suffered problems with marking the soft clay products with traditional clean moulded vacuum cups.

Solution

Using its extensive knowledge of vacuum handling, Simmatic produced a bespoke vacuum cup. Made from the right gauge soft silicon foam the vacuum cup successfully griped the plates, but without any of the marking. This meant that production staff no longer needed to dress every plate.
